Gail Louise Jones
 Born October 4, 1951 in Sacramento, CA: passed away July 27, 2014 in Maui, Hawaii at the age of 62. Beloved wife of 41 years to Rick. Greatly missed by children Wendy and husband Sam Parker of San Francisco and Bonnie of Sacramento. Forever remembered by her grandchild Joshua. Also survived by her brother Ray Fernandez; and a host of loving nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by mother and father, Betty and Norman Fernandez. She was an elementary school teacher in South Sacramento as well as a beloved dance teacher. A private viewing and grave-side ceremony will be held. There will be a public memorial service on August 4, 2014 at 2:30pm at United Methodist Church (21st & J Street). Karen Beck (Hadlock)
Was not able to attend Gail's Celebration of "her" life but was able to have re-connected on many occasions and frequently on FB.
We met @ JFK in 1968, being the only 2 Juniors Songsters. We shared a love of movement/dance and taught @ various studios and the City over the years.
Am most pleased with our last time together. She invited Lynette Koftinow and myself to have some time @ her cabin. Great girl time. While I stayed with Gail several times, it was the visit of August 2013 when I got to ride in her MB SL convertible! She took me to catch the train downtown after we toured (thanks Dennis Newhall), the Sacto. Rock & Radio Museum. We also went to see Blue Jasmine @ Tower and lunched and discussed after. So happy for those moments. I know her family, especially Bonnie, Rick and Josh miss her terribly. Maybe we can all have those cherished memories sustain us during our sadness of loved ones passed on.
