Nick Laquaglia, was, to me, one of the most supportive mentors I have ever known. His kind leadership through our years at CK will always mean the world to me especially in our senior year with so much to be done for the grad party and a whole lotta other behind-the-scenes activities. He was always a gentle leader who encouraged you to do your best on your own (but with a careful eye, on the sly, to keep you in the right direction). He and Mr. Kutcher were wonderful class sponsors to be sure. Those of us who had the distinct privilege to work with him (them) will always be indebted for they showed us the way, frankly, to be good parents. Whenever I think back on my McClatchy years, I think of Mr. Laquaglia and Mr. Curtis Casey (choir) and Mr. Joe Guidera (math) as being the most influential on my life, my outlook, my own teaching ideals. Great men, all. Thank you, Mr. Laquaglia!!

I couldnt agree more with Reg's comments about Mr Laquaglia. He believed in all of us who were not the smartest and brightess bulbs in the box. He saw the talent each person had even if we didnt at the time. He was the kind of guy who didnt give up on people. We were lucky to have him looking out for us all.

Mr Laquaglia was my homeroom teacher and it seemed like he always had his back turned when I arrived 5 minutes late from spending some morning time with my girlfriend.  I think he knew.  Thanks Mr. L.
