School Story:

My favorite school story has got to be meeting my future husband in 10th grade and then being suspended for "making out" in a car with him a year later (which was untrue) and then being told by the "School Administration" (names withheld to protect the guilty) that I would be moving on and meeting another, better, older person and falling madly in love in another year or two. Needless to say, they weren't invited to the wedding.

Comments:

Dave and I married in 1992, then moved to Sebastopol in 1994. We bought a condo in 2000, sold it in 2006, then rented for 9 long months in 2 different places before finally finding our current home right in downtown Sebastopol in February 2007. We love being within walking distance to great coffee shops, sushi, and my office. I still enjoy reading, and always planning our next trip. Hiking, backpacking, snorkeling, reading historical novels and just meeting people from different backgrounds are my favorite things to do.

Travels:

We went to Grenada, in the Caribbean for our 10th anniversary, and Paris and the Cote d'Azure in 2007 for our 15th anniversary. Most recently we enjoyed Squaw Valley in September, and relish being so close to both the mountains of the Sierra as well as the wild Sonoma Coast. Lately most of our "trips" have been to Dillon Beach where Marley can run around off her leash.

Special Volunteer Work You've Enjoyed:

I have set the goal to Auxillary Pioneer at least one month each year, and I am happy to say I have achieved that most of the last fifteen years. We enjoy a very beautiful and extremely "diverse" territory, including the beaches and the redwoods.

Concerts You've Attended:

Definitely the highlight was the U2 concert from the 2001 "Elevation" tour, followed closely by the 2005 "Vertigo" tour, where we ran into Dave Olson and Christine (Olson) Vizenor, unbelievable! We have also enjoyed the Eagles "When Hell Freezes Over" tour in 1994 with Todd and others when we rented the limo and had to bail when we went through the car wash! My dream concert would be to see U2 in Ireland. (They will be there this July, we'll see.)

Our terrace in Eze, France. Sitting on top of a mountain is the tiny town of Eze, just 10 minutes from the glamour of Monte Carlo.

Lunch on the beach in San Rafael, France. This is overlooking a beautiful long white sand beach complete with European sunbathers.

One of our first meals in Paris, at Les Deaux Magots, a famous French cafe. We returned two night later and ordered the same Irish Coffees, and they came back with the cream curdled. It was our only experience of a waiter insisting that was the way it was supposed to be, despite the fact we just had it not curdled two days prior!

One of the walkways in Eze. This is a restaurant we dined at, the Troubadour. This village is able to be reached only on foot or bicycle. To get there you must park at the bottom of the hill and walk up to the top.
