Hey everyone! I don't be on the internet a whole lot as some of you can tell, but I've had the opportunity to speak with others verbally. I'm able to help out wherever I'm needed, and would love to be apart of any committee. Preferrably the kitchen, because I know none of you guys can cook.(lol)No, but on a serious note, I've been contacted by Angela Lewis, AHHS class president. And they're interested in commuting with us on fundraisers, etc. She said it was only a hand full of blacks in their class, which we already know, and wondered if they could join our class. I'm not sure what others think about this collision, so I'm making it known for discussion. Regardless of what, let me know if I can be of any help. It was good seeing and hearing from you guys. And congrats to all the new moms, especially you Zee. (smile)

Hello classmates, I hope all is well with everyone. This message is for all classmates in regards to an upcoming conference call that is highly recommended to cover loose ins for the reunion weekend and other important info, so please stay tuned and info will be posted soon. I have a PO.BOX for our class, this is for those classmates that can and are willing to donate any monies toward our class funds such as down payments for banquet center, reunion activities, fundraisers and scholarships etc. The money will be deposited into an account setup for our reunion. Proper records and reciepts will be drawn up for those that donate. As a class we have to start somewhere as well as have something to start with. There will be a meeting held at Ponderosa on Bay rd. This meeting will be in reference to "Fundraising Activities". Hope to see everyone there! Also, the cost for buffet with soda is $11.49.

Hey everyone! I'm writing in regards to the rock-a-bowl fundraiser. As of today no-ne has said rather or not they wanted to buy tickets for sure. I'm being asked by underclassmen and outsiders, but no-one from the class of 99. I know some are planning to attend, so if you are, let me know so I can at least put your ticket to the side. I talk to the lady about more tickets. But, we have to wait until the week of the event to see if more will be available. Mind you, we are doing this with/against AHHS and CHS, and they too have tickets. So, if they don't sell all of their tickets then we can get more. I hope to have sold all of our tickets, and have my hands out for more. I can't see T-Shells selling all of his, but if so let's still represent. Look at it like this. If we have a good turn out on the first one, next time we can do it big, BY OURSELVES. Regardless of what, call me and let me know what's up.

Hey everyone. I'm writing to thank everyone who attended the meeting on Aug. 8th, and those who came and participated with the bowling fundraiser. We had an alright turn-out, however, I do believe it could have been a little better. Had I not invited people outside of our class along with a few others, A.H.H.S and B.V. (who wasn't even involved) would've outdone us. So many are complaining about meeting RG's financial goal, but how can you when we can't even attend our own functions. Those with good reasons for not attending, this doesn't apply to you. But, for those of you who could have, it would've been nice to see you. Sure hope to see more of you on August 23rd for the car wash.

The SHS C/O 99 "Carwash" will take place Saturday August 23rd, 2008 from 11- 3pm at the 7 Eleven on South Washington. There are two shifts (11-1pm and 1-3pm)for those who can't stay the entire time.

First of all I want to thank everyone that took time out of their busy day to come help out on this past Saturday, because of you the carwash was a HUGE Success... Also, i would like to thank those that wanted to participate, but because of certain circumstances couldn't. In addition, i want to thank those that couldn't help out physically (Dee Dee, Mike Young, Gina, LaShawn) but donated carwash items.

Shout out to my "GETTIN MONEY CREW" (Chavon Buford, Niecey, Kelli B., Jamila, Letia, Tweety Byrd, Lil Jordan, Angel Martin, Billy Reed, and myself)!!!!!!!! With you, the carwash wouldn't have been possible. Thanks So Much!

I just got that lovely e-mail from Kelli stating a lot of issues within the class. I don't know about y'all, but there are a few of us that are (a) not in the country or (b) getting ready to leave the country, that had plans on coming to Saginaw or where ever to see y'all. If you don't even have the intestinal fortitude to help out then why even act like you wanna do it. Don't let other people put forth all the money then you show up like you actually did something. Trust, I have no problem asking to be security and boot people out! I will still be coming home the weekend of the reunion and I would still like for there to be a reunion. Even if that's just us getting together to do something simple. I'm trying to get Adrianna, who is all the way over in Germany to be in Saginaw the same time. I do wanna see a majority of y'all. Kelli, Zee, if y'all need any help with anything, let me know. I may be in the desert but I can still help.

For those who don't know, the class reunion is July 24th-26th. We are now accepting payments. You should have received an email by now, but I'm also posting it here for those whose emails are bouncing back. The total is $100 and an extra $25 if you're bringing a spouse.

The first payment is $40 (Due April 15th). Please make checks or money orders out to either Kelli Bond or Taiyel Carter and send to:

Here is the breakdown of the tentative weekend events. However, we need as many payments as possible to have any of these events:

Friday- Banquet at the Anderson Enrichment Center (8pm)
a. Theme-Black Friday (Everyone wear black After Five attire)
b. Tameshia is checking into catering
c. Kelli is checking with the representative at the Anderson to verify accommodations (tables, liquor). She is also looking into two possible DJs
d. Suggestions were made for speakers. The majority of the people on the call voted to have both Mrs. Floyd and Mrs. D. Williams as our speakers. I (Jamila) will check into that.
e. While we understand that many people may not arrive until Friday, we’re hoping that starting at 8pm will give everyone time to get in and make it to the event.

Saturday- Bowling/Going Out/Party
a. Originally, bowling was the event for our meet and greet, but since the
banquet is now switched to Friday, we decided to keep the bowling. It is tentatively scheduled to begin at 5pm
b. We are still looking into throwing a party. Suggestions were to merge
with Arthur Hill’s class of 99 or look into throwing one on our own. This will all be determined by cost. If it is too expensive, we will choose a location and go out together.

Sunday- Cookout
a. Smack (Latoya Noel Bland) is looking into a park off of McCarty Road. Kelli suggested a pavilion behind the BV center because it has recreational activities for children. Everyone agreed with that suggestion and it will also be looked into.
b. Naija has contacted Famous Dave’s to supply the meat (ribs and chicken) for the event. She also suggested to have classmates donate side dishes (macaroni and cheese, spaghetti salad, etc) More info on side dishes and a sign up to come.
c. Children will have hot dogs and chips

Hey everyone,

So a lot of people have been asking questions about whether or not we're having the reunion, if people are sending in money, etc. Yes, we are still pushing forward, money is there, but we need more to cover all the expenses. The reality is that many people are choosing to wait, and see if a certain number of people send money before sending theirs. If we operate under this theory, and the majority of people are waiting, we're not progressing. The other issue is that many class members are saying they know nothing of the reunion or are still not on facebook or the class site. If you know this to be true of people you're in communication with, take it as a challenge and suggest taking their money and sending it in for them.

I was asked to suggest another conference call to discuss the various venues, food options, costs, etc. We can also strategize any remaining ways to reach out to people. The call will be this Sunday, May 3rd at 8pm. The call in number is: (605) 475-4825 and the code is: 781006#

The first couple of hours will be devoted to the class. We will have a catered dinner, a possible slideshow, etc. Following the dinner will be a "party" with music from DJ Prince
