Midge, loved your pics--you haven't changed a bit! OK, maybe the hair is a little lighter.
Remember Tutor John Graf? I saw him a couple weeks ago. He must be nearing retirement age?
Here in Midland we didn't have significant damage but, like you, it appears parts of Saginaw suffered, but I don't think the MLS area was hit.
We're looking forward to my dad's 90th birthday party in a couple weeks. My five siblings (all MLS grads) will be there, along with a lot of my folks' grandchildren and great grandchildren. Daughter Amy is married to Larry and Kay (Klockziem) Retberg's son Andy, and they and their two children will be coming from AZ where he's a pastor. Our son Luke is working at Colonial Williamsburg (VA) as historical interpreter. He works every-other-weekend so he and his wife won't be able to come.
I'm looking forward to seeing many of you when (if?) we get another reunion!

We'd be very willing to take some of that moisture down here... yup! It's a dry heat. The storms are the main topic of conversation when our faculty gets together (last night) as we are mostly Midwest transplants (4 of us MLS grads).

TUTOR BILL MEIER - I thought some of you might want to know, and some probably already heard that Bill Meier died this week. He was a tutor our Senior year along with John Graf. You might remember his baby blue Barracuda. When he returned to SEM in Mequon for his Senior year, some of us continued to see him. He lived at the MLTC boys' dorm as a supervisor and also did some coaching of the MLTC basketball team. He had coached JV basketball at MLS and was known for throwing his towel down when he didn't agree with the refs. Bill married Marcia, a girl he met while taking some classes at MI State and they had 6 children. I last saw him when his daughter and my daughter played volleyball together at Martin Luther College. He was diagnosed with lung cancer some time earlier this year and by this past week it had advanced to his brain. Our pastor has a son who is Bill's associate pastor in Phoenix, AZ. This is where the information came from.
