Ferris Riba

Ferris E. Riba Peacefully slipped into God's arms at age 62, January 19, 2010 with his wife, Gay, of 38 years, by his side. Ferris and Gay were inseparable. He was a loving husband and father of four, Jeff, Jennifer, Pamela, and Brenda; grandfather of seven, Ian, Anacee, Daris, Talon, Cyndra, Sergio, and Danus; great-grandfather of five, Vilina, Zenon, Thor, Adelaide, and Marlee Mae. He is also survived by sisters, Priscilla, Phyllis, Esther, and Annette; and brother, Reg. He was an Air Force Vietnam Veteran. In Tucson, he worked for Buxton Smith, where he was Salesman of the Year, and Environmental Services with the City of Tucson. He invented the Gayfer can opener, which was purchased by Ecko Products. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and spiritual values. Ferris will be with us in Spirit forever. A Memorial Service will be held at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd., Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Donations may be made in his memory to AZ Oncology, 2625 N. Craycroft, or the Humane Society of Tucson.
