Comments:

I'm really looking forward to seeing many of you at our 25th this summer. I hope lots of you will come! I love going back to MLS to see how much has changed... and how much has stayed the same. I'm hoping we can get some of our old profs to visit with us, too. If any of you are in touch with some of the people who started with us but didn't finish (like Jim Sowle, Becky Valleskey) please feel free to invite them to the reunion - we'd love to have them!

I graduated from Lake Superior State University in good 'ol Sault Ste. Marie in 1987 with a BA in English Language & Lit. I've been working at LSSU since 1988, first in the Foundation office and then in the Alumni Office. I've been Alumni Director since January 2006. It's a fun job, but the hours can be kind of long.

My husband owns and runs a dry cleaning business in the Soo. He also is a great cook, and does all our laundry and dry cleaning - gotta love that!

My daughter is a sophomore in high school. We thought about MLS, but 250 miles is a LONG ways a way... I can't stand to be that far apart! She is an athlete like her parents, playing volleyball and softball. She used to play soccer & basketball as well but gave those up in the last year. She is a good student and a great kid and is thinking about studying psychology in college. Also an artist - where she got that talent is beyond me, since I can barely draw a stick figure!

Ryan is in 7th grade and loves football and hockey. He's also good at soccer and baseball but isn't interested in pursuing those any more because 'you can't hit people' so those sports are useless, as far as he's concerned. He has curly hair like his Dad (used to) and is obnoxious, like most 13-yr-olds, but the girls love him. Don't ask me why. He is a smart kid but often lacks the motivation to do well in school, so we have to keep on him. He would like to join the Marines. We are strongly encouraging college first, Marines after.

School Story:

I loved MLS, and I miss it! I love going back to visit, I love seeing you guys, and I wish it was closer so I could be comfortable with sending my own kids. I am so glad I went to school there, for many reasons. And even though I am a LOUSY correspondent, I do really value the friendships I formed there and would like to do a better job of keep in touch. If you email me I WILL repsond! I just don't write letters any more...
