Michael passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital, with family by his side. He was 57 years old. Michael Patrick Erway was born on June 20, 1957 in Saginaw to Charles J. and Rhea M. Erway. He attended Arthur Hill High School. Mike enjoyed going to the beach, especially in Texas and Florida. He also enjoyed a good laugh and was an avid storyteller. He enjoyed spending time with his friends, but above all he loved spending time with his family. Mike was a man that worked with his hands and over his lifetime he became a master of his craft. His work included: anything from construction, real estate, mechanics, and AC work, to automobile rebuilds/sales and so much more. He was not afraid of hard work!! He was always ready and willing to take on a job, analyze the situation and go for it!!

Surviving are his wife, Penny of St. Petersburg, FL; three sons and a daughter: Daniel Moffett of Charlotte, NC and his wife, Brittany, Michael P. Erway, Jr. of Angleton, TX, and his wife Randi, Charles J. Erway, II, and his significant other, Ashley Duff, of Springfield, MO, and Melissa M. Erway of Lake Jackson, TX; the mother of his children, Laura Jane Linkinhoker and her husband Jeffery Linkinhoker; one grandchild due in October; mother, Rhea M. Erway of Saginaw; one brother, Ronald Erway of Lake Leelanau, MI and his wife, Kathleen; one sister, Kathleen Waier of Saginaw; three step-children: Natosha Maher and her husband, Robert, Amber Connors and her husband, Richard, and Misti Melhorn; six step-grandchildren. Also surviving are many special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles J. Erway; one brother, LaVerne "Bernie" Erway and his wife Judy; and sister, Patricia "Maureen" Ostrander and her husband Wayne.
