Robert passed away Monday, October 22, 2007 at University of Michigan Hospital after a lengthy illness, age 50 years. Robert R. Lowden was born on February 11, 1957 to George H. and Marie (Rahmann) Lowden. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1976. Bob was employed by Denny's Restaurant for nine years; then at Meijer on Tittabawassee for over ten years. He was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church, helping as an usher, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #593. Bob loved fishing, gardening, the outdoors and he was an avid sports fan.

Surviving are his mother, Marie Lowden, Saginaw; two sisters and a brother, Ann (Wallace) Winters, Charlevoix, George (Colleen) Lowden, Saginaw, Susan (Brian) Markusic, Freeland; nieces and nephews, Caroline, Barbara, Deborah, Bridget, Elizabeth, Connor, and Logan; aunt Shirley (Donald) Simmons; five great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins. Bob is preceded in death by his father, George H. Lowden on September 28, 1999.

FUNERAL- Robert's Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 25, 2007 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 511 W. Cornell Street. Rev. Fr. Ronald J. Dombrowski will officiate with burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. VISITATION- Friends may call at the Deisler Funeral Home, 2233 Hemmeter Rd. (off State) on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. A Vigil Service honoring Bob will take place at Deisler Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. MEMORIALS- Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Matthew Catholic Church.
