Dianne Maeder (Lintemuth)

Dianne R. Lintemuth, age 77 of Stanwood, went to be with her Lord Monday, October 2, 2023 at her home. She was born June 27, 1946 in Mount Pleasant, the daughter of Gerald and Floris (Jackson) Maeder. Dianne attended the Michigan Lutheran Seminary in Saginaw graduating in 1964.

She married Alvah Lintemuth on February 18, 1967 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Broomfield Township. They made their home and raised their family in Stanwood. Dianne had been employed by Pizza King and Kentucky Fried Chicken, both in Big Rapids. She was currently serving as a Board Trustee for the Village of Stanwood since 1984. She was a talented gardener growing many lovely flowers. She was a gifted seamstress and enjoyed cross stitching. Dianne looked forward to watching the birds.

Most important to Dianne was church and family. She was a long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for 35 years. She was a huge part of her grandchildren's lives and upbringing. She enjoyed supporting them in their sporting events and activities.

Dianne will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alvah of Stanwood; six children, Chet (Yvonne Christensen) of Stanwood, Roger (Monica) of Morley, Rob (Stephanie) of Morley, Jen (Chad Salmon) of Stanwood, Karen (Matt) Shea of Columbus, and Shelly Harris of Grand Rapids; her daughter at heart, Sara (Morris Graham) Penness of Stanwood; eleven grandchildren, Brett, Tyler, Sawyer, Taylor, Brandon, Morgan, Brian, Rachel, Rebecca, Dylan, and David; several great-grandchildren; three siblings, Roger (Denise) Maeder of Lake, Shirley Kleinhaus of Beal City, and John (Linda) Maeder of Lake; sisters-in-law, Pat Maeder of Remus, Arlene (Gary) Oaks Grosbeck, Donna Truesdell, and Carol Lintemuth; her best friend, Betty Hansen; many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Rick Maeder, grandson Brett, and brothers-in-law Ronald and Theodore Lintemuth.

Funeral Services will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Remus. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Oct 5. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Big Rapids. Dianne will be laid to rest at Stanwood Cemetery.
