Amy Bender Bender Elker

Went to several different colleges after high school and/or worked trying to figure out life. Finally graduated from Western Baptist in 2000 with BS degrees in English; Communications; and Secondary Education.
Worked a variety of jobs including radio broadcasting and church ministry. Spent 10 years in Army Guard and 3 years in Air Guard as a Broadcast and Print Journalist-went on deployment for 9 months to Bosnia with Army.
Worked at McKay full time for 4 years teaching English and Speech, then in fall 2008 took part time position at West Salem HS so I could have child number three (due August 09) and finish my Masters degree. Lot's of ups and downs, moving around, etc. but overall, life has been good! Hope to hear from you.
