Dana Jo Hanson was born January 6, 1955, in Salina, Kansas, to Vaughn (Bill) and Ramona Hanson. She married Steven H Welch in 1976. From 1981 to 1991 they lived in Hawaii.
Mrs. Welch died February 27, 1992, at St. John's Hospital, Salina, after a long illness. She had worked as a waitress in Salina and in Hawaii and was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors included her husband, Steven; a son, Jeremy; her parents, Bill and Ramona Hanson; her grandfather, Earl W. Hanson; a brother, Terence Jim Hanson; and sisters, Lisa Spencer and Kim Fine.
I met your son last month as we were moving things belonging to my Mother. He told me you suffered very long with cancer, actually moving back to Salina from Hawaii when you were very sick. With every memory of your pain, he had pain in his voice and on his face. I am so sorry.
I remember you so well, your beautiful shining eyes and long hair. I miss you, Meg
