A classmate notified me that Richard Neuman passed away from cancer, November 28, 2022.  There has not been a published obituary.

Richard J. Neuman, Jr., 67, of Salina, passed away Monday, November 28, 2022.

Rich was born September 7, 1955, to Richard J. and JoAnn (Nelson) Neuman in Miami, FL, and moved to Salina as a child. He graduated from Salina Central High School and went on to attend Hutchinson Community College and Colby Community College where he studied broadcast journalism and photography. He was dedicated to the local arts community, and never missed a chance to photograph the Smoky Hill River Festival.

Rich was preceded in death by his father, Richard J. Neuman, Sr. He is survived by: his mother JoAnn of Salina; his favorite daughter, Melissa, and granddogs George and Maggie of Washington, DC; and brothers Garry (Karen) of Omaha, NE, and Fred of New York, NY.

At Rich’s request, there will be no memorial service. In lieu of flowers, please schedule your annual physical and decennial colonoscopy.
