Sheldon (Jo-Jo) played basketball with me on a County-Rec team for a couple of years after we graduated (probably 1975-77). He had developed a very good landscaping business and was doing quite well for himself. He got into drugs and his life spiraled down from that. He lost a lot of his business (due to missed appointments), stole some equipment and got sent to prison. I visited him a couple of times while he was there. Did his time and tried to go straight but still had some issues with drug use. He was killed while helping a buddy tow their car when he was accidently ran over by the car they were towing (he had gotten underneath the car to reattach the rope that had come loose and his friends didn't know he was there). Attended his funeral which was very hard to do. Sheldon had a huge heart and would do just about anything for anyone. It was a shame he had to die at such a young age.
