From Sam Jemison:

"I don't know if Carol Hanson mentioned to you or not, but while looking at the new GHS sight, which is very impressive, I looked at the memorium page. Needless to say some of the names on the list kind of took my breath away. But on in paticular. Jimmy Thacker. He was on of my best friends. He saw me off when in went in the Navy, kept in touch for several years. When the sight said it had no info I became obsessed with knowing. Usually it's pretty easy to find out from arcived obits, but I couldn't. I finally did find out from an archive sight that Jim died of injuries received in pedestrian-auto accident Oct 29,1996. He was 44 at the time of his death. Born March 16, 1952, Grad GHS 1970, Attended BYU, LDS Misson in England, Married Melanie Jean Bankhead Feb 19, 1975in Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was quite the guy, if any one person ever came close to converting me to LDS it was him."
