Larry Neal Dew

August 1, 1952 - September 13, 2021

Larry Neal Dew, age 69, returned to his Heavenly Father surrounded by his family on September 13, 2021, after a valiant fight with Prostate and Pancreatic Cancer. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Jenny Youngberg Dew, his children, Brandon (Nickole), Jadi Gunnerson (Geoffrey), Kristopher (Kamisha), Jordan, and Angelina, and his grandchildren, Maddux Dew (Samantha), Brooklyn Lewis (Kyle), Kaden Gunnerson, Kaylee Gunnerson, Kairi Dew, Brynlee Dew, Silas Brinkerhoff, and Ashli Brinkerhoff.

Larry was born August 1, 1952, in Logan, Utah, to Milo Leroy Dew and Virginia Parrish Dew. Throughout his childhood he moved with his parents to multiple locations throughout Utah. His parents settled in Murray, Utah, and Larry then attended and graduated from Granite High School (Class of 1970). After serving an LDS mission, Larry attended and graduated from the University of Utah (BS), and later from Utah State University (MBA). He worked as a Certified Public Accountant and in various positions for Norton Christensen, Arizona Public Services, Spa Fitness Centers, the University of Utah Bookstore, and retired as the Assistant Vice President Emeritus for Finance for the University of Utah Health Sciences.

Larry’s happy place was with his family. He loved Sunday-family dinners, family parties, spending time at their property in Fish Haven, Idaho (at Bear Lake), and by serving his family in multiple capacities. His love, dedication, and devotion to his Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ was demonstrated everyday through his countenance and example. He served a LDS mission in the Ohio-West Virginia mission and held numerous callings throughout his life, which he completed with exemplary commitment and service.

His viewing will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on Saturday, September 18, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints building on 127 E 3200 N, Lehi, UT. The funeral will follow on Saturday, September 18, 2021, beginning at 12:00 p.m., at the same location.
