Shane served in several positions of trust within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and in the community. By being willing to serve Shane was able to associate with some of the finest women and men on the earth. He will always treasure the friendships that were made here on the earth. He was reared by goodly parents who taught by example and voice. His immediate and extended family showed him daily faith as he fought the fight that many have fought who contract cancer and other diseases that might be terminal. Although Shane had several other illnesses in his life, there was always some manifestation that through it all, the Savior was there and watching over him and his family.

Shane and his family would like to thank the City of Riverton for all they did in helping with the liver transplant and subsequent care after. We'd like to thank LDS Hospital and Coram Health for all their care, knowledge and compassion. Shane would also like to thank the Jordan School Board for all of their love and support. Shane and his family would also like to thank all those of every faith who offered prayers, fasted and did many wonderful acts of kindness in our lives. Debbie would like to give Dr. John Howarth and staff a heart felt thank you for allowing her to be home with Shane and their girls when they needed her most. We offer a special thanks to all our neighbors and friends who've given us countless hours and years of service. We thank God in our prayers for all of you and pray in your quiet moments that you will know of our and the Savior's love for you.
