Steve.  Poured out a beer for you today.  Reminiscing about our dorm room smelling of your always present Flex shampoo (you swore it was the best, yet you lost all that hair!  ha ha ) and Moosehead beer.  Will never forget our late night Dart throwing as a distraction from studying.  And when you came home and told Jim OD and I that you signed us up for a Dart league, we could only laugh...but good that you had a 'can do' attitude.  Yes "The Plastics" then took the UT community by storm by being youg, brash, unapolagetic, and daring to play against the pros and the international teams with crappy plastic darts!  And our room was an outpost for so many travelers that stayed behind in SA who wanted to venture up to Austin.  We provided solace and outpost for so many outstanding music events..even those who are awaiting you like Diego Gamboa.  And that first big party after we all graduated HS, we returned from Austin and had a blowout at your house in Windcrest with so many of the friends and familiar faces coming together again for the first ever reunion of so many in our class.  I can still hear " Hit me with your best shot" and selected tracks from Bruce's "The River" ringing throughout the house as so many of our friends from TR 80 got together to celebrate what we all thought would always be.  Youth, togetherness, and friendship.  But alas, time waits for no one.  To you, God bless.  To the rest of you...Carpe Diem.

Sad to see.  Rest in Peace Steve.  You bought joy and kindness everywhere.

I simply can't believe this. I'm so sorry to find out about Steve. I first met him at Ed White. He sat in front of me in Mr. McGibbon's science class. He was always cutting up and making me laugh- and get in trouble for laughing! When they were building Takas Park, he'd chase Liz Hime and me around with whatever he'd find- a lizard or garden snake. We played King of the Hill on the dirt mounds still being used for construction and he'd always win. (He had more girth.) And I don't know how, but he climbed into one of the construction vehicles and turned it on! That's when we all ran away!!! I didn't get to see him much at Roosevelt- different classes. Different crowd. But every girl at Ed White had a crush on Steve, I know that much. And I wasn't excluded. Rest In Peace, Steve. Hope you're still cutting up and causing trouble where you're at. 🙏🌟✨💫>p>

Steve, God welcomes you with open arms.  I will always remember you were such a nice person in class, always smiling and friendly to everyone.
