Richard Arthur Brown

     Sadly, we have lost another classmate and friend. October 23, 1945 - October 6, 2015 Richard Arthur Brown, Sr. passed away peacefully of natural causes at his home in Canyon Lake, TX on October 6, 2015 at the age of 69. He was born October 23, 1945 in Corpus Christi, TX to the late Carl and Alma Brown. A graduate of Highlands High School in San Antonio, TX, Richard Brown was inducted to the U.S. Army on September 27, 1966; proudly served his country in Viet Nam, and was honorably discharged from active duty on August 28, 1968. Known for his ambitious drive and hands-on technical abilities in the construction industry, Richard Brown worked numerous years for the Texas Highway Department; the Holt Caterpillar Company, and as a General Contractor until his retirement. An avid outdoorsman, Richard Brown also enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing with his family and friends. Richard Brown is survived by his children; Richard Brown, Jr., Diana Butler, Pilly Stumpff, Judy Chylinski, thirteen grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Dill and nephew, Charles. Interment with military honors will be held at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX on October 23, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/sanantonio/obituary.
