I remember her. I first knew Kathy in Brownies in second grade, Commodore Sloat School. I remember that she was funny and made me laugh when we were little. Very, very sad indeed.

I remember Kathy from junior high.  She attended Aptos and was always such a sweet, kind person. Beautiful inside and out. I also remember her from the YMCA. Like many of us at Lowell, Kathy participated in the Y to do community service. When I learned of her passing, I was very saddened to learn that such a vibrant spirit should be taken in the prime of life. I still can't quite believe she's gone.

I was also shocked to hear of Kathy’s passing. I new her since 5th grade and always felt a kinship with her. I never had the nerve to ask her out, but I wish I had. Very sorry for your families loss and Rest In Peace our brown eyed girl. John Bouyea

We were good friends since Commodore Sloat, lived near by one another........had so much fun together!  Lost touch when I went away to College.  So sad and she died so young.  Warmest thoughts to her familiy!

I remember the two of you as great buddies at Aptos. If I remember correctly, you were both on the syncopated swim team (the "Marionettes?). With so much swimming practice both of you had blond hair that turned a shiny green from the chlorine. I always admired your special friendship, and although we ran in different circles you both made a positive difference in my life. Sorry I can't say that to Gale too.

I, too, knew Kathy since the 5th grade at Commadore Sloat. Lost touch after Lowell, but then re-connected briefly in the mid-90s when we discovered we lived a few miles apart in the Sierra foothills. Kathy (she was going by Kathleen then) was teaching 2nd grade in Grass Valley and had a wonderful daughter. I remember Kathleen took up oil painting and won best of show at Nevada County Fair! Always full of life and generous with her smile, Kathleen left us way too soon.
