Yes! Attending Reunion
Comments

Went to Berkeley directly from TLHS and became immediately overwhelmed by suddenly being in the real world. Decided to retreat back into my own world by going full-time into the family business selling toys. After an overly long fling with illegal substances into my mid 20's, I decided that perhaps that was not the best path to happiness. Things started getting better after that. In 1996, after having been single for a couple of years, my sister talked me into taking a ballet class in SF. Met the teacher. Really liked her. Started dating a year later. Six years later, continuing my tradition of moving very cautiously, we got married. Both of us for the first time, in our 40's. Best thing we both have ever done. In 2007, the toy store was done in by the combination of big-box stores and the Internet. Went to work later that year for Ace Hardware. I made it through six years there before realizing that the intensity there was too much for my more mellow self. Started working for a great organic grocery store in El Cerrito. Unfortunately, Whole Foods moved in down the street about 6 months ago, so we're kind of struggling now. So, to sum it up, we will probably not ever live in a mansion on top of the hill, but the quality of our lives is truly outstanding. We are kindred spirits in so many ways, and we share the same priorities, namely, be kind to each other, and everybody else.

School Story

I don't really have any great school stories. I was pretty shy back then, so I pretty much hung out with people I knew from Vallecito. I look back on my time at TL and wish that I had been willing to take more chances. I guess that's a big part of the reason I'm attending the reunion, to at least put myself out there now and maybe cultivate a few new friendships.
