Shortly after graduation, in late June, '70, Dennis Begner and I hit the road in parents' VW bus for Fairbanks, Alaska--covered over 13,000 miles in about 6-1/2 weeks! Many more wild adventures have followed and continue to excite my imagination. Okefenokee Swamp; Cohutta Wilderness;Great Smokies; A. T.; Savannah R., Altamaha R. and other rivers; Everglades; Algonquin Prov. Pk.; etc. Did volunteer trail maint. for the U.S.Forest Service for 10 yrs. and was eventually trained as Wildfire Fighter and was able to spend a couple of weeks in the wilds of Ore. and Idaho on some major fires in '96. I've been a professional landscaper from '87-'06 with 1 company (and its morphs) and self-employed as "The Plantsman" since '06, with modest, but sufficient success.
