I was both shocked and saddened this morning when I saw that Allen had passed away. Allen and I were good friends in high school. We had good times in Mr. Hopkins' special woodshop class in our junior and senior years in school. We used to have a good time sitting around the picnic tables at lunch time and teasing the girls. I never forgot the trip to San Diego that Allen, Tom Foster, and I took to check out a college that was offering a degree in aviation. We drove down in his 65 Impala that he had just gotten and on the way back, stopped off in Venice Beach to visit a friend of Allen's and had a great time. I lost contact with Allen after graduation but will always have the memories of that trip.
My condolences go out to his family. Rest in peace my friend.
Sorry to hear about Allen...thoughts and prayers to his family...there are WAY too many losses being experienced with the Class of 68...still too young to be leaving us!
