Sharon Darby-McGinley

Sharon Darby-McGinley, 63, of Santa Maria, passed away of natural causes in her home on December 10, 2013. She was born on August 19, 1950 in Newport, Rhode Island and graduated from Santa Maria High in 1968. She spent many years working as a paralegal in the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara areas. Throughout the years, enjoyment came from caring for her cats, shopping, spending time in Hawaii and providing assistance to her newborn niece and nephew.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Larry McGinley; father, Kenneth Darby; sister, Linda Reed; son, Ben Sanders; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Elmina Darby; and sister, Pamela Roby.

According to her wishes, cremation was performed and no services were held. Those who would like to make a contribution in her memory may choose a favorite charity.
