Several classmates emailed me that Jeanie Grindle passed away on May 31,2011. Her service was well attended verifying her life well-spent and time spent in community involvement. Apparently, she had been treated for Hodgkins lymphoma and had become very thin. We will miss Jeanie and many of us have very fond memories of time spent together.

I was sadden to hear about Jeanie's passing. She was one of the first persons that I met when we moved to Santa Maria. We sat next to each other in Mrs. Genasie's 6th grade class at El Camino. She will be missed.

Jeanie’s Dad and my Dad worked at VAFB in 1958, and her family lived around the corner from our home on East Sunset when those homes were new.
