Wow! I just heard about Paul passing away very recently, today. I did pal around with Paul a lot during high school and we kept in touch, on and off, until the early 80s. He would stop by Santa Barbara after I moved down there in 1979 once in a while and go out and have some cocktails with me and some of the other title company employees I worked with (we usually would go out after work on Fridays--although sometimes more often than that).

In fact, I had recently googled his name to see if I could locate him for this reunion. I guess I just didn't ask the right people. This is sad news. Paul was always a very independent guy. Definitely marched to his own drummer. With his curley blonde hair, your first thoughts were, "tennis player." And indeed Paul was a very good tennis player. What a sad way to find out about him.

I just read about Paul in the SM Times on line. Very sad indeed. Did he have family?

Paul's service was warm and caring despite the blustery weather that day. Phyllis and Phil spoke of Paul lovingly , while I imagined him listening...with that rather whimsical smile he wore so well.

It was nice to see Peggy Ford, Ilene Pickle, Guy Hayashi and Mike Kendall again..all of us standing and meditating on the short , but full life he led independent of the norms of society.

We'll miss you at this reunion, Paul...but, will never forget you.

I remember when I was told about Paul's death. He was a lot of fun and I know his family must miss him still. Many memories from way back.
