Mike Stearns was a beloved friend to many. He passed on February 22, 2017 after a struggle with Alzheimer's Disease. A service will be upcoming in Hemet and if details are known, they will be posted. After graduating from Santa Maria High, he attended San Diego State University and was a graduate there and also, at Cal Berkeley. He will be sorely missed.

My deepest condolances to the family, I actually knew Mike when we were in elementary school in Rapid City So Dakata, he was in my brothers' class. My dad was transferred to Santa Maria in the summer of 1960; When we were Sophmores in HS he came up to me in the cafeteria and said " I know you and you brother", and reminded me of our younger days in Rapid City - Small World - we talked about that at our 20th class reunion. I was very saddened by his passing.
