Per her daughter : In 2015: Jody was crossing the street in the City of Puerto Nuevo, Mexico when she was struck by taxi. Jody died on impact.
Jody Summers was a loving mother to Patricia, Bobby, and Lisa. She was also a grandmother to Bradford, Gavin, and Kate. She worked in the medical field, front and back office as well as the billing department before she retired to Puerto Nuevo, Mexico. She loved her two little dogs Roxy and Mija. She enjoyed traveling, biking, dancing, horseback riding and spending time with her grandchildren. She passed away on December 13th, 2015. She is missed and was loved very much.

jolene and i were friends at st clement's school i would stay overnight with her mother and grandmother at the apartment they had on sunset in venice - i think the the escalera family also lived on that street - i remember when i heard that one of the escalera brothers was killed across the street goodbye jolene you were a treasure in my heart
