After SHS, I went to U of M and then Boston University. In between, I lived in Japan for two years. Since I had to go *somewhere* because Boston is ridiculously expensive, especially for a teacher, my brother convinced me to move to Minnesota to be closer to him. I came out here in 1997. I have worked at a Catholic boys' military college prep school for almost nine years, teaching tenth and eleventh grade English, and it's so much fun that I will probably never leave. I married a Norwegian Lutheran Honorary Minnesotan type of guy (he actually grew up in Nebraska, but his roots are here) named Karl Narveson in 1999, and we have two daughters. Unfortunately, my father died suddenly in January of 2000, so my mom sold the airport business and left Saranac to move back to her hometown, Des Moines, IA. I now have no family in Saranac (or even Michigan, for that matter) and haven't been back for a visit for four years. I'm looking forward to the reunion and will try to make it there come hell or high water!
