Suitland, MD - Charlie Goins formerly of Savannah, GA died Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Born in Savannah, GA, he was the son of the late Charles Wilkerson Goins and Jessie Amanda Applewhite Goins. Charlie attended Sacred Heart School where he spent his kindergarten through 8th grade years and was a Class of 1960 graduate of Benedictine Military School. Charlie owned and operated a high pressure water blasting service (Aaction Services, Inc., d/b/a Action Pressure Cleaners) in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area and was a great fan of Harley Davidson's and an enthusiastic yearly participant in Daytona Bike Week. He was a reserve in the Army National Guard in the 1960's. He is survived by Michelle, His loving wife of 27 years, his two sons, Charles Anthony Goins and Timothy Allen Goins; his daughter-in-law, Caroline Goins; his five grandchildren, Holly Llewellyn, Sarah Goins, Anthony Goins, Miranda Duncan and Robert Goins and his sister, Catherine Goins Daughe rty and his nephew, David Daugherty, Jr. and niece, Anne Daugherty. He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Shannan Goins, in January of this year. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors Islands Chapel. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 8, 2004 in Greenwich Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Worship Center Building Fund.
