Kathleen H. Allen, 70, of Scotia, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 28, 2018. Born in Albany, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dorman and Margaret (Lamountain) Dolan. She was a graduate of Linton High School in 1967. Kathleen was employed as a receptionist for the law firm of E. Gray Watkins in Clifton Park. She had also previously been employed as a teacher's assistant for the Scotia Glenville School District. Kathleen was a member and volunteer at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Scotia. She was a member of the book club at the Scotia Library. Her favorite pastimes were doing crochet and embroidery and she was an avid reader. She was predeceased by her husband, Reggie E. Allen, whom she married July 22, 1984. Kathleen is survived by three loving children, Rebecca M. Leader of Sarasota, FL, Melissa A. Cusano of Scotia and Christopher M. Cusano of Ballston Lake. She is also survived by two step sons, Dennis Allen of Hoosick Falls and Bryan Allen of Hoosick Falls; one brother, James Dolan of Madrid, Spain. Kathleen is also survived by five loving grandchildren, Katie Cusano, Ryan Cusano, Makaela Leader, Owen Leader and Hunter Allen. Funeral Services for Kathleen will be Monday evening at 7 p.m. at the Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Visitation will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will be in the spring in St. Mary's Cemetery in Galway.
