Mark Gronley passed away from COVID-19 on Saturday, January 30th, 2021. "Smiley" (as he was known by many) will be dearly missed. He was a wonderful, kind human being, and a friend to us all.
Mark was a very kind hearted and personable guy and I'm sorry to hear of his passing. I didn't get to see him after I left Arizona for Colorado in 1975, but I will always remember his happy disposition. So long, Mark, You brought joy to so many!
Mark grew up right across 62nd St from Kaibab Grade School. So many of us go way back with Mark. Its tough to think we'll not see you and your ever present personality at the next reunion, Mark. Rest in deep peace, and we'll tip a glass to you at the next get together.
Mark was always kind and loving. Had lunch with him several times in the last decade where he told me great stories of growing up in Chicago. Rest in Peace Mark.
