I remember Margie fondly from our years together at Kiva elementary school. I remember her as very kind, serious, and thoughtful.
In our 30s, we reconnected after she had changed her name to Chandini, and we corresponded by email now and then.
A couple of years ago, when visiting Washington DC, I called her and we met for lunch, where she told me she was battling cancer. My last email was never answered, so I was expecting this.

Fare thee well, Margie/Chandini ~
We'll see you soon enough.
