Robert Paul Kinker

Bob was retired after many years in law enforcement. He served with the Portsmouth Police Department, as an investigator with the Scioto County Proscecutor’s Office, and as Judge Kirsch’s bailiff. He attended Christ’s Community Church and was very involved in the church’s community outreach. An avid golfer, Bob was a member of the Elks and played in both Elks golf leagues. He was also a big supporter of the PHS Trojans and OSU Buckeyes. ~ Robert Paul Kinker served 9 tours in Vietnam with the Army and separated as a Staff Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Overseas Service Medal with 1 Bar, the Vietnam Service Medal, Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnam Campaign Medal, three Good Conduct Medals, the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm, and the Sharpshooter Badge.
