Hi Everyone-

It's disappointing that some of the local venues seem to have essentially priced out groups looking for an affordable location. I don't remember the Legion as having been particularly elegant, but that's not the point of this event anyway. I'm in favor of making it as afforbable as possible for as many people as possible. Thanks to Biil, Craig, and Sue (carefully listed alphabetically) for taking the time to do the research. If they say the Legion, it works for me.

Greetings one and all!  I think the plans for our reunion are wonderful.  I will be able to give you all a better idea of how the Legion venue works because the family (Whitlocks) are having an 80th birthday celebration there on March 3rd for Mom.  Anyway, the crowd is expected to be around 200 so, if I can pull this off with my brothers (and you all know my brothers......) then I think we will most certainly be able to make the Legion spectacular!  Keep in touch.

So, I found a 1935 SHS grad last night. I have known her for a couple of years. I invited her to the all class reunion.  I don't think she will come, but how cool is that? :)

Cathy Whitlock.

Cathy, I am curious to hear your experience at the Legion. How did everything go? I stopped by and checked it out when I was there in April and it looked as though it would be a great spot. A little Class of 72 magic and I could see it working well.

My mother, former Seaside Heights Elementary School teacher and librarian Marcella Johnson, passed away in October of 2012 at 85.  My brother, my sister, my two sons, and I must carry on with part-time jobs and many bills, but we are meeting at least once a month to keep her (and our dad and brother Terence's) memory alive.  It is one of the hardest things in life--to lose your mom.
