ANNOUNCEMENTS

Holy Rosary Alumni Mission Statement

Holy Rosary believes it is important to continue to serve alumni and would like to assist you in remaining connected with the individuals who shared the experiences and lessons that were the focus of your grade school education and for those who attended Holy Rosary High School.  Holy Rosary School is working to complete alumni information in order to formalize an alumni program.  With the information we gather we hope to:

  • Provide a forum for alumni to connect.
  • Plan an all-school reunion as our centennial is in 2013.
  • Find "lost alumni.
  • Educate others about our graduates' successes and accomplishments.
  • Share with alumni the changes and current events of the school.
  • Establish a board of directors that will formalize bylaws and an Alumni Association.

Give to the 2009-2010 Annual Fund Drive

As a small school, Holy Rosary invites the entire community to participate in the excellent educational programs for which Holy Rosary is recognized both locally and nationally. The Annual Fund runs every fiscal year from July 1st through June 30th. Every year, annual giving touches every part of the school: financial aid to deserving students, equitable salaries for our excellent staff, and ongoing curriculum improvements. Every student is touched in real ways every day by your generosity.

We strive for 100% parent, faculty and staff participation in the Spring, and seek support from alumni, extended families and community friends throughout the year.

A Message from our Principal

“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

As the new principal of Holy Rosary School, it is my privilege to welcome you to our new alumni web site. I would be remiss if I didn’t take the chance to offer my gratitude to Kris Brown, who gave twenty five years of her professional life and passion in exemplary service to this school and community, and wish her well in her new role as principal of St. Catherine of Sienna. Additionally, I want to thank the entire Parish staff for their kindness, and advice. I come to Seattle from Des Moines, Iowa, where I worked as the Diocesan school improvement coordinator, after serving as principal at Holy Trinity School and counselor/accommodations coordinator at Dowling Catholic High School. While working for the Diocese, I completed my Doctorate in educational leadership at Drake University.

I’ve been married for twenty years to my wonderful wife, Franci, who leads the Human Resources function for a local non-profit. We enjoy traveling, spending time with family, attending sporting events, supporting the arts and working out.

I am committed to continuing the traditions and values that make Holy Rosary a place where young people thrive. Enthusiasm, faith and compassion lived out in service and love for learning, characterize the staff students and parents of our community. All of us are proud of the accomplishments of our students, both academically and spiritually. It is our hope that our students graduate with a sense of esteem and competence and the inner conviction that following in the footsteps of Jesus is most likely to lead to true success and happiness.

In 2013, we will be celebrating our centennial. I encourage you to watch this web site for information leading up to the events of our centennial year. The interest and involvement of our parents and our parish and alumni communities, continue to be instrumental in the on-going success of our school.

- Dr. Randy Peters, Principal
