Robert Monty (Montez) Tennyson

Robert Monty (Montez) Tennyson was born December 29, 1949 in Selmer, TN, the son of the late Estle and Mary Lou Baker Tennyson.

Mr. Tennyson worked 15 years for Thyssen Krupp Elevator Company in Middleton, TN. He served his Country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Mr. Tennyson enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He was a member of the Selmer Moose Lodge, where he served as Junior Governor, and the Southern Bass Anglers. Mr. Tennyson was a former member of the Selmer Jaycees, and attended Selmer First Baptist Church. 

Mr. Tennyson departed this life on April 20, 2014 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 64 Years, 3 Months, 22 Days. 

He is survived by two sons, Clint Tennyson of Medon, TN and Blake Tennyson of Pinson, TN; two grandchildren, Aspen Donte Tennyson and Jeannie Melise Tennyson; three brothers, Donnie Tennyson of Bolivar, TN, Lloyd Tennyson of Selmer, TN and Charles Tennyson of Savannah, TN; two sisters, Mary Jo Ellis and Rochell Rash both of Ramer, TN; and many extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tennyson was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilborn Tennyson and infant Bobby Lynn Tennyson. 

Services will be held on April 23, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee with Richard Doyle officiating. Burial will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Selmer, Tennessee.
