William Ernest “Ernie” Nimmons, 60, of Anderson, passed away Monday, November 8, 2021.

Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late William Rupert Nimmons and the late Annelle Garrison Pittman. He was a truck driver for USF Holland and was a member of the local Teamsters 509. Ernie also served in the National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Kristie Nimmons of the home, son, William Ernest “EJ” Nimmons, Jr. (Samantha) of Pendleton, grandchildren: Annabelle and Elizabeth Nimmons and Nicholas Patterson, sister, Cassie Keadle, niece, Allie Busha and his favorite pup, Akilli.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 16 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to pay their respects and sign the register on Monday, November 15 from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The family will be at the home of Ralph and Janet Moore, 1518 Old Williamston Rd. Flowers are optional, memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 315 Calhoun St., Anderson, SC 29621 or the Anderson County Humane Society, 407 Pearman Dairy Rd., Anderson, SC 29625.
