Westminster - Stanley 'Stan' Wilborn Owens, 50, husband of Melanie Jo Woolbright Owens, of 235 Old School Road, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011.

Born in Kingsport, TN, he was the son of the late Gene Owens and Sarah Ann Hamilton and husband Larry of Anderson. He was employed with Ulbrich where he worked as a Machinist and was a member of Foothills Community Church. Mr. Owens was a Veteran of the United States National Guard, a graduate of Seneca High School and later attended Tri-County Technical College. 

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include sons, J. Blake Owens of Westminster, and Scott Owens of Los Ranchos, New Mexico; daughters, Amanda A. Owens of Westminster, and Brantley N. Owens of the home; brother Stephen E. Owens and wife Kim of Anderson; sisters, Jackie Peden of Anderson; stepfather, Larry Hamilton; stepsisters, Tammy Lazano of Fayetteville, NC, and Holly Hamilton of Townville; and 7 grandchildren.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Melissa Owens. 

Funeral Services will be held 3 PM, Sunday, August 14, 2011 from the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service 2-3 PM, Sunday, August 14, 2011 at the funeral home. The family is at the residence. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made in memory of Stan Owens for his daughter�s education, 235 Old School House Road Westminster, SC 29693.
