Obituary for Mr. Hugh "Ken" Kendall Heaton

Hugh “Ken” Kendall Heaton, 61, husband of Jill Susanne Marcengill Heaton, of 202 Wayside Circle, Seneca, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at St. Francis Downtown. 

A native of Seneca, SC, Mr. Heaton was the son of the late Hugh Dorsey and Mollie Ann Sullivan Heaton. He worked at Duke Energy as a radiation protection specialist and was a member of the Blue Ridge Masonic Lodge #92. Mr. Heaton was of the Christian Faith. 

In addition to his wife, Mr. Heaton is survived by his son: Jacob Heaton (Amris) of Portland, Oregon; daughter: Amber Skipper (Russell) of Monroe, GA; step-daughters: Lauren Jager (Tony) of Anchorage, AL and Victoria Erickson of Seneca, SC; and three grandchildren: Kaylee Skipper, Logan Skipper and Isaac Jager. 

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, Wednesday, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. 

Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to a local charity of one’s choice in his name. 

The family is at their respective homes.
