Obituary for Mr. Richard "Ric" Dean Woolbright

Richard “Ric” Dean Woolbright, 61, of Seneca, SC, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2022. 

A native of Seneca, SC, Mr. Woolbright was the son of Roger and Linda Durham Weaver and the late John Earle Woolbright, Sr. He worked at Itron for several years and was the manager at his family’s campground, Near the Point and was a caregiver to his cousin. Mr. Woolbright ran track at Seneca High School where he graduated in 1980 and was an avid Clemson fan. He had a love for life, was quick witted, and loved being with his family and friends. Mr. Woolbright was of the Baptist Faith. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Woolbright is survived by his brother: John Earl Woolbright, Jr. (Kim) of Townville; sisters: Melinda Bigos (David) of Seneca and Leslie Campbell of Seneca; step-mother: Elizabeth Woolbright; special nieces and nephews: Jay Woolbright, Josh Woolbright, Jeremy Oliver, Justin Woolbright, Nichole Mulkey, Dena Woolbright, Alynda Blakeley, Mark Bigos, and David Bigos; and many loving great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

In addition to his father, Mr. Woolbright was preceded in death by his grandparents: Albert and Octavia Durham; and Rupert and Elizabeth Woolbright. 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
