The Clark Atlanta University Family today mourns the loss of former CAU Head Football Coach Daryl McNeill, Sr., who passed away last Saturday in his hometown of Seneca, South Carolina. McNeill served three seasons (2010-2012) at the helm of Clark Atlanta's football program and posted a (4-22) record. In 2011, he guided the Panthers to three NCAA II defensive rankings in pass defense (No.1), tackles for losses (No. 2) and total defense (No. 11). With over 20 years of coaching experience, he had amassed a record of (40-72) in 11 years as a collegiate head coach. A South Carolina State University graduate, McNeill was affectionately known as "Brick" by many of his college teammates. He is survived by his children Tiffany and Daryl, Jr., his grandson Jayden and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 25, at 1pm in the St. Mark's United Methodist Church in Seneca, S.C., (29678). Arrangements have been entrusted to Gilbert's Funeral Home, 100 E. South First St., in Seneca, where a visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 24, from 6pm to 8pm.
