Charles ‘Pedie’ Sanders, Easley

Charles Manley ‘Pedie’ Sanders, 43 of 100 Selwood Court, died Feb. 16, 2001, at Hospice House of the Upstate.

   Born in Chesterfield County, a son of Charles Henry Sanders of Powdersville, and Willie Van White Sanders of Seneca. Mr. Sanders graduated from Seneca High School in 1975, from Wofford College in 1979, and from the Medical University of South Carolina School of Pharmacy in 1982. He was formal owner and pharmacist of Children’s Pharmacy in Easley. Mr. Sanders was a member of Easley First United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, Dr. Patricia Tillotson Sanders of the home; a son Evan Charles Sanders of the home; a daughter Maggie Geneva Sanders also of the home; his mother, Willie Van White Sanders; his father and stepmother, Charles Henry and Becki Sanders of Powdersville; a brother, Mark Ivan Sanders of Seneca; his grandmother, Juanita Sanders of Seneca; and his stepsister, Shannon Bagwell Livingston of Powdersville. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Easley First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ben Barnett officiating. Private committal services will be held at Robinson Memorial Gardens, 1425 Powdersville Road, Easley, prior to the memorial service. The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service in the fellowship hall of the church. Memorials may be made to Easley First United Methodist Church, P.O.Box 582, Easley, SC 29641; or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Kenneth Kirby (1975)

I located and article in the Greenville News where a Charles Manley " Pedie " Sanders died Feb 16, 2001 at a upstate Hospice house. He was 43 at the time of death making him 17 or 18 in 1975. No other details were available. I don't know if this is Charles or not.

Kathy Smith (Metts) (1975)

Pedie died in 2001 from brain cancer.  We shared a birthday among many other good memories.
