Reggie left us Christmas day, December 25, 2000, after battle with cancer. Part of me died that day. Spent a day in the hospital with Reg, three days before his passing. Relived memories of the fifty years knowing each other. God I miss him!

I last talked to Reg a few months before the 2000 reunion he never once told me about his illness.  I went to the reunion and he was not there.  Someone said Reg called and he could not make it.  I was really looking forward to seeing him again.  We wrote letters to each other when I was in the Air Force and he was at Annapolis on a regular basis.  I remember when he moved almost next door to me we were friends before but then we became even closer. I would be his house or he would be at mine.  To the best of my knowledge Reg was the youngest of the class (4-43) and I was 2nd (3-43).  We used to have slumber parties Reg, John Dooley, Bill Schacht, Doug Toews, and myself.  We would play poker, records and eat anything we could.  Just writing these few comments about Reg brings tears to my eyes.  Reg I really miss you.
