1950-2022
Rest in peace Vicky Duff MacDonald.

Very sad news about Vicky from her son:

Unfortunately, I'm afraid that I have some very sad news.

Vicky passed away late Friday evening.

She finally agreed to go to the hospital, where it was discovered that she had internal bleeding in her abdomen, from an undetermined origin.
She was given a choice between a high risk surgery or comfort care. She chose the latter.
I was able to speak to her twice and tell her that I loved her. She was in good spirits.
Her wonderful neighbors were the last to see her - they provided her favorite blanket that she liked to sleep in. She went peacefully at 11:30pm.
She faced the end in total bravery and peace.
I am so sorry to give you this news. Been spending the last two days traveling to New Hampshire to start settling her affairs.
But she always spoke so thoughtfully of you (Chris Hoffman Dimeglio) and Myrna. She truly valued your friendship and solidarity.

Shock, disbelief, sadness.  Vicky was the personification of the 60’s love, happiness, beauty and sunshine.  Her bountiful mind expanded the perceptions of those who knew her.    She thought in pictures.  My head is flooded with memories like movie clips, each one a most treasured moment in my life.  Vicky introduced me to Camus and Pynchon, Klee and Chagall, Prokofiev and Bach.

We maintained contact through the years, often here on Classmates.  I know that the last word I sent to her was “love”.  Eternal rest, my friend.

Very sorry to hear of Vicky's passing. She and I both attended the same little college in Vermont, Marlboro College (but not at the same time).

Very sad indeed. Viki was my first girlfriend, and I look back on our highschool years together with great fondness. She was a wonderful spirit who has had a lasting effect on my life.

Vicki was one of the kindest people I have ever known.
She was one of my closest friends at SHHS. She was
Pooh to my Tigger. She had the loveliest smile and voice.

A truly beautiful soul. Through the magic of f/b we reconnected some years ago.

I will miss her kind messages and her Rabbits! Rabbits dear friends!
