Dr. Neil E. Zimmerman, a dentist for 25 years, died on Feb. 10, 2000 at age 49. Most recently he maintained a practice in Mentor. Previously he had worked in Toronto and Vancouver, Canada. Dr. Zimmerman enjoyed golf and traveling to golf resorts across the country. He also enjoyed music and had an extensive collection of records, especially those by Carole King and the Rolling Stones. Born in Cincinnati, he was raised in Shaker Heights and graduated from Shaker Heights High School. He earned a bachelor's degree at Kent State University and his dental degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry. . Surviving Dr. Zimmerman are his wife, Josephine; mother, Marcia of North Miami Beach, Fla.; and . daughters, Jodi and Brooke.
