Jon was a fine man: kind, humble, witty and polite and SO smart. First time I went to his house in high school his parents sat me down in the living room and spoke to me like an adult. I was in tenth grade and MY parents had never done that! Obviously, I never forgot it and I realized then how different other families were: polite, measured, contemplative, supportive, engaged. I tried to raise my kids that way. Thank you Jon Harwood, you and your parents became a role model for me. Peace.
