Where do I begin?
Since High school I went to Mankato state for a couple of years with no idea what I wanted to do. so I didn't go back and got a job at Canterbury downs working as a waitress in the clubhouse (I worked opening day) and then moved to managing the paddock lounge. made good money at that time but it was seasonal so I went to Ft Lauderdale on spring break with a friend from Burnsville when we got back to Minn.we decided to pack up a uhaul and head to the sunshine state!! I got married soon after moving here to my 1st husband in 1988, was married 9 years and was devastated when soon after the divorce He married a girl he was seeing when he was married to me, thank God we never had children together(his new wife hated me) because we had the same friends for 9 years I found myself out on my own feeling very alone, I did a lot of soul searching, crying, praying and then a man I had met on that spring break in Ft. Lauderdale (whom I might add I had a huge crush on I would say it was love at first sight) calls me after 12 years and we start dating and we have now been married for 7 years this year! Went to Italy for our honeymoon!
both of us being older (he is 10 years older than me) we wanted to start a family.
we had a little baby girl named Mia in 2003 who lived only 1 hour she had a third 13th chromosome (very severe condition)and I was given the opportunity to terminate early on, but I carried her to term and got the chance to meet her, and kiss her goodbye. she was a beautiful baby and a real gift from God, she showed me my strength, my faith, and the true gift of life, also that life isn't always easy or fair but it's OK!
I conceived again only 6 weeks after her birth and now have a healthy son Joey (3), 10 months ago I got pregnant thought I would have another chance for a girl, but lost the baby at 2 months. So I am blessed with my boy and at my age I think thats all I can handle. (Hats off to you all with big families I envy you, but how do you do it?) just one is kicking my butt! Life is Great!!
I did get my real estate license here in Fla. and did that for a time, even sold timeshare for awhile, but now I am a full time stay at home wife and mom.
I am still singing and sing at church and at womans retreats.
I look forward to seeing old friends at the reunion.
wow it's really hard to summarize 25 years of your life! oh well hope it wasn't too boring for you if you took the time to read it.
I had a great time seeing Sue wolf Meadows, Shelly Klehr, Suzanne Ries Guimond, JoAnne Ege, Peggy Pond, Jessica Case, Joanne Cryer, Sue McKenzie, Andrea Odenwald, Che Swagger and Erin O'Brien when home not long ago and still keep in touch with them from time to time, I also keep in touch with Jeannie Barrett and Tana Mintz and look forward to seeing many of you when I come home this year!!
