When my Sister was in a nursing home in 2001, Bill was down the hall. Bill had some type of cancer and his prognosis was terminal. I would stop in and visit him from time to time. He was always in good spirits and had great support from his family. My sister was moved to another facility so I'm not sure when Bill passed away.
