Linda Louise Ryther, age 52, of Versailles, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born May 26, 1955, in Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Vencil and Louise Calton Sidebottom. On February 29, 1984, at high noon, in the mud in Kansas City, Kansas, she was united in marriage with Larry Ryther, who survives of the home. Linda owned and operated the Rock Spot in Versailles. She attended the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles, and enjoyed writing, singing, and gardening. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Adam Israel and Carrie Speer of Versailles and Shane Ryther and wife Shenna of Spring Hill, Kansas; her father and mother, Vencil and Louise Sidebottom of Osceola, Missouri; three brothers, Scott Sidebottom and wife Tina of Carthage, Missouri, Jeremy Sidebottom and wife Kristie of Coweta, Oklahoma, and Stanley Sidebottom of Osceola, Missouri; several grandchildren; her best friend, Peggy Leis of Paola, Kansas; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, at the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles with Pastor Gary Petty officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Interment will be in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles Cemetery.
